Fair & Lovely Foundation Scholarships 2009

Application invited for Fair & Lovely Foundation Scholarship from women only.

Eligibility:
1. Scholarships are awarded to women only.

2. For Fair & Lovely Scholarships, candidates must: a. Have cleared HSC and must have secured at-least 60% marks in their 10th and 12th examination b. Have working knowledge of English language

3. Scholarships are awarded solely at the discretion of our panel of Judges

MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR MERITORIOUS MINORITY GIRL STUDENTS 2009-10

The objective of this scholarship is to recognize, promote and assist meritorious Girl students belonging to national Minorities who can not continue their education without financial support. Scholarship will be admissible for expenditure on payment of School/College Fee, purchase of syllabus books, purchase of stationery/equipments required for the course & payment of Boarding/Lodging charges.
WHO CAN APPLY :
1. Girl Students belonging to National Minorities, (i.e. Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs)
2. Should have secured not less than 55% marks (in aggregate) in the secondary school certificate examination, conducted by any recognized Centre/State Board of Secondary Education
3. Family income of the student from all sources should be less than Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh only)
4. Should have Confirmed admission in class-XI.
5. A student getting a scholarship from any other source would not be eligible for the Scholarship.

Pre-Metric Scholarship 2009-10

Application inviting for Pre-metric scholarship for the year 2009-10 from student belongs to minority communities( Muslim, Chritian) who is studying class 1 to 10 in Govt/aided/un-aided( recognized CBSE,ICSE) schools.

Eligibility:
Should have more than 50% marks in th previous final examination( No mark limits in the case of class 1 students)
Parents annual family income should be below rupees one lakh.

MERIT CUM MEANS SCHOLARSHIP RENEWAL NOTIFICATION 2009-10.


Applications in the prescribed format for the renewal of scholarships under merit cum means scholarship scheme for the year 2009-10, from the students who have been granted fresh/renewal of scholarship during 2008-09 and who have successfully completed the course during 2008-09. The last date prescribed for receipt of applications in the Directorate of Collegiate Education (Annex), Govt. Sanskrit College Campus, Thiruvananthapuram-34 is 15 August 2009.

Applications should be submitted in the specific form prescribed for the renewal of merit cum means scholarship.The applications should be supported by the proof for the successful completion of the course during 2008-09,Income affidavit in stamp paper in the prescribed format(duly notarized) along withsalary certificates of parent(s) if parents are employed or Income certificate from revenue authority, etc.

NCERT NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION(NTSE-2010)

National Talent Search Scheme is a flagship activity of the NCERT started in the year 1963. The purpose of the scheme was to identify talented students and nurture their talent. Talent refers to the potentiality that manifests itself in a high level of performance in one or more specialized areas. The scheme, therefore, covers areas like Sciences, Social Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, Management and Law. It honours and helps talented students by providing financial assistance in the form of a monthly scholarship. For the courses in Basic Sciences, Social Sciences and Commerce, this assistance is provided up to Ph.D. level. For professional courses like Engineering, Medicine, Management and Law this assistance is given only up to Post Graduation.

From the selection year 2010, the NCERT will conduct the National Talent Search Examination for students studying in Class VIII only.
1. Scholarships: On the basis of the examination conducted, 1000 scholarships will be awarded for each group of students appearing for Class VIII examinations. The amount of scholarship will be Rs.500/- per month as per NTS rules.
2. Reservation: 15% scholarships will be reserved for students belonging to the SC category, 7.5% scholarships for students belonging to the ST category and 3% for Physically Challenged Group of Students each in respect of the class VIII.
3. Selection: There will be two-stage selection process for award of scholarship. For Stage-I, selection will be done by States/UTs through a written examination. Students who qualify Stage I will be eligible to appear for Stage II examination conducted by NCERT. 4. The States/UTs will also conduct the selection test for National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme along with the Stage-I written examination for NTS.
4.Eligibility: Students of Class VIII studying in recognized schools are eligible to appear for the respective Class VIII Stage I examination conducted by the States/UTs in which the schools are located. There will be no domicile restriction.
5.Application Form: You may contact the State/UT Liaison officer for procuring application form. However, application form can be downloaded from NCERT website also. All correspondence relating to application forms should be addressed to the State Liaison Officers (LOs) whose addresses are given in the Website.

Applications are invited from outstanding graduates holding at least a first class honours degree in Pure or Applied Sciences, Humanities, Law or Medicine of Indian Universities for five scholarships, for a course of study leading to a degree of the University of Oxford (UK). Mexican Government Scholarship 2010

Government of Mexico offering scholarship for Indian nationals for studying at Mexici University or any other institution in Mexico in the following subject fields for PG and Ph.D. 1. Agriculture. 2. Biotechnology. 3.IT. 4. Electronics Engineering.

Eligibility:

Should have bachelors degree and PG degree respectively with minimum of 65 % marks in relevent subjects.
Age should be below 26 years for PG andbelow 30 years for Ph.D
